Our Mission

The mission of TCRDF is to expand the participation of Emerging Research Institutions in the research and contracting enterprise by building institutional capacity, forging strategic partnerships with R1 universities, industry, and government, and creating pathways that advance student achievement and workforce development.

Our Vision

TCRDF will be recognized as the nation’s model for expanding ERI participation in the research and contracting enterprise. Through a growing network of regional hubs, TCRDF connects Emerging Research Institutions to the resources they need through strategic partnerships and shared services, developing their research capacity and advancing their students into the workforce.

Our Method

TCRDF builds capacity through earned trust, true partnerships, and shared services, the infrastructure that strengthens an institution’s ability to compete, perform, and create opportunity for students.

Our Priority

TCRDF supports Emerging Research Institutions (ERIs): institutions with established undergraduate or graduate programs and less than $50 million in annual federal research expenditures.
